I’m from Houston and we have just had a visit from a terrible guy named IKE.  Talk about a bad date.  The damage in Galveston is catastrophic and Houston, as you can see by the pic, received our share of very high winds.  It was a very scary storm and people are still waiting for the power to be returned.  We have ice, water and food lines everywhere.  It’s a very sad time here, but people are helping each other and trying to keep the spirits up.

OMG, it’s my f*&king storage unit.  It is 25’ x 10’ of memories.  Not just my memories, but MR, my brother, an ex husband or 2, and step children.  I spent 4.5 hours there today and only managed to go through 7 boxes!  One I didn’t even open because it was marked Mary’s Stuffed Toys!!!  My garage sale will be going on until September 2009!!!!!!

This is Bella Bean, better known as BEAN. She has lived with me for about 3 years and loves being in the backyard.  She enjoys Brandi and hates the kittens.  Hopefully she will come around.

This morning I hit the tennis court!  It’s been 10 years since I’ve been on the court for some real hitting!  My friend, Harold (10 years ago he was my mixed doubles partner), braved the onslought of tennis balls.  I’m back………….

I did the table settings and flowers for the dinner at the restaurant tonight. Buried in the flowers is a bottle of wine - a little surprise!!  I have always thought that presentation is most important.  Needless to say, if you read mary.nonsociety.com you’ll know that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!!
